Q: Which of the following activities best characterize your focus and how you spend your time in your current role?
Today’s IT leader faces a confluence of issues like no other time in modern history. Every department within their organization needs answers to questions that never arose pre-pandemic. Every employee needs visibility into what’s happening at all times, from wherever they are. And every decision needs to be made with a level of speed and accuracy never previously required.
Meanwhile, in the background, data volume is growing exponentially. In lockstep with that growth: the need to implement modern business intelligence (BI) tools and more efficient data-related processes to drive innovation and improve business outcomes. In a November 2020 study conducted by IDC, 87% of CXOs said becoming a more intelligent enterprise is their top priority for the next five years.
To succeed, IT leaders must blend functional tactics, strategic planning, and transformational ideas. And they must build a holistic data and business intelligence strategy for their company. Where can you find the answers? How do you compare to your peers? And where can you turn to find insights and tactics to help you succeed?
Data is the crucial element to answering these questions.
